For those of you that were fortunate enough to know Gerry, he passed away on Saturday.
Personally, I only knew Gerry for the last few years and was helping him close out a few 'legacy' projects.
His humor and stories of surveying days of old in Northern California will be missed, rest in peace my friend.
There will be a service at the Veterans Hall Loomis, Ca off Horseshoe Bar Road on March 22 @ 2pm.

Re: Gerald Frederick Ding PLS 3735
Michael,
I haven't heard of Gerry but it appears he practiced around the Loomis area? I will ask the CLSA Sac Chapter next week and Gold Country at our next meeting what they know of him and inform of his passing.
Gold Country Chapter is trying to make a website useful to the public and with your permission (and our chapter's) I would like to post the service time and date on the site and any fond memories, stories, etc. Please feel free to pass along anything you like. You can email me direct at info@confluencelandsurveying.com.
