Quickbooks

Post by MikeT »

To very small land surveying business owners:

Looking at going to Quickbooks for bookkeeping and possible invoicing. How do others like this software?

How is the learning curve? Do you need to update with every update? Thanks in advance for any input.

I use it for timecards and invoicing going on year three.

It’s the gold standard for bookkeeping and there are plenty of educational resources and people available locally to assist.

I update whenever it tells me a few times each year, doesn’t cost anything. I think it was $300 to buy in

I’ll be paying a bookkeeper to do the data entry and fill out the taxes this year. For 2019 I only used the bank accounts which export automatically to QuickBooks so all the business transactions ought to go right in with one click.

I recommend this software but haven’t tried any others for comparison.
