DEA is looking to hire an Office Survey Technician to be based in our Santa Clarita, CA office. Under the supervision of a Licensed Land Surveyor, the duties of the Office Survey Technician will be diverse and may include: survey and utility record research, reduction of survey data, survey calculations, copying and filing. In addition, the Survey Technician will directly support the creation of Control, Design, Right of Way, Photo Control, Corner Records, Records of Survey, Parcel Maps, Tract Maps, Airspace Maps, ALTA Maps, Legal Descriptions, and related exhibits utilizing AutoCad Civil 3d, Trimble Business Center and other office software. At times, this position will also assist with construction staking calculations, related deliverables and real time support of field crews.
Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree highly desired
• Expert Level Proficiencies with AutoCad related to survey projects, Civil3D a plus
• Prefer 3 - 5 years of blended field and office experience
• Land Surveyor in Training Certificate (LSIT) desired
• 3D software (Revit) and BIM knowledge a plus
• Proficiencies with Microsoft Office Suite
• Proven ability to work in a team environment required
• Strong work ethic and accountability required
