Passing of John Combs

John Edward Combs was a professional land surveyor and the proprietor of Combs Land Surveying, established in Lakewood, California, in 1981. Prior to opening his own business he worked for the Los Angeles Public Works Road Department and he operated his business until retiring in 2012. He passed away on August 19, 2015 at 72 years of age due to complications from a stroke.

John learned much of his craft from his late father and received his professional license in 1980. He took great pride and enjoyment in teaching his knowledge of the profession to young people he knew and employed as well as being a part of the group of so many notable great land surveyors before him.

His funeral will be held at All Souls Mortuary in Long Beach, Friday, September 18 at 11:00 a.m. [4400 Cherry Ave, Long Beach, CA 90807]

All family, friends, and associates are welcome and invited to attend.
