I'm so glad we changed the forum to increase the spam protection. Looks like it's working great...not.

When I was logged out I could see all the forums (Employment Hotline, Classifieds, etc.) but when I'm logged in I can only see General Discussion. Is there a reason for that?

Nice avatar Ryan.

I'm guessing that when we log in, we only see the forums that we are registered to participate in. Some may see multiple forums based on their role in the organization, or if they are County Surveyor, etc.

When I got licensed in 1987, I bought 500 brass tags. I have probably used 40 of them on monuments over the years. The only thing I use them for now is as a ball marker when I'm playing golf. Never gets confused with a dime!!!

Don't forget one on the green. You will have to file an RS on that. ;)

just cause I set a tag in the ground or on the earth does not mean I have to file a map on it. the way I see it I have to file a map if this tag represents a corner or an accessory thereto. I am probably wrong, but that's the way I see it.

"I set that tag at a random point signifying nothing except that I can identify it again."

Not to mention that it needs to be affixed to a permanent monument ...

Relax Bruce. I thought it was pretty obvious that I was joking there. I'll add a winking smiley face next time ;)

Not so. Only if it has to do directly with a property line or land line. Random tags that I set that are for my benefit only, I can set with a piece of bubble gum, better yet some "amazing goop".

That was referring to it becoming a trigger for a map. ;-)

Looks like I'm ordering a bunch of tags with Bruce's number to scatter all over the place :)

Do a group buy! I'm in for 50. Can you get them pre-attached to rusted pipes or do I have to DIY it?
