I am going to save myself the age related embarrassment by not mentioning what model calculator I just switched from, but I did switch to another brand and much newer version. Many times on exams you hear of people struggling with a calculator they do not know how to use. Here is a trick, rather this is your first calculator or just a new brand for an old schooler.
Go to a teacher supply store (or online) and get a few workbooks for 7th grade math. the one I got had thousands of basic add, subtract, multiply and divide problems.
I sat down and timed myself on how fast I could do all the problems (127 pages) without writing anything down, then every couple of days I would do it again. Tonight I hit half the time as when I started.
This doesn't go over every function, but it has made it to where I can get about 3/4 of all the buttons by touch and now I feel as if I have been using this same calculator for years now.
Hope that helps.
