Well, it took a few months, but my neighbor who thought he could claim my property is now temporarily behind bars for violation of a stalking protective order (felony?), attempted assault 1 (felony), and criminal mischief 1(felony). The charges all came from his conduct on Tuesday of this week. Hopefully he won't get out for about fifty years.
Now I can relax and build my fence in peace.
Hostile Possession!

Yup, same stuff, different day (week/month).
He attacked again by hurling concrete bricks at me (it was a metal fence post last time). He finally hired another land surveyor a couple of weeks ago who determined that there was nothing improper about the line I had marked. He had consulted with yet another land surveyor who also agreed with my work. But that wasn't good enough for him and he has since remarked the line twice, each time moving it several more feet in my direction.
His buddy is the retired judge who is also the sheriff's buddy. The retired judge testified in court during the protective stalking order proceedings in early July, and didn't bother to say anything close to the truth. All lies in favor of my neighbor, of course. Guess he forgot what "perjury" was. Luckily, I had other witnesses who were truthful.

Mark,
Its great to hear of justice being served properly. Sorry it took so long in the mean time. The circumstances sounded overwhelming. So many times you hear of justice not being served because most people cant afford it.
Hopefully you'll be able to enjoy your family property for the rest of your life with out dealing with that BS.
Good luck and prosper.

Larry,
Thanks for your kind words of support.
So far "justice" has cost me in the neighborhood of $9000 in attorney's fees alone just to secure the stalking protective orders. That's money I don't have. I still owe him about $8000!
Also, I called 911 so many times over the last three months, that the D.A.'s Office actually charged me with two counts of abuse of the 911 system. Unbelievable! And not once did a deputy respond to see what my concerns were until this week. It took a call from another attorney to prompt the sheriff to send out a deputy to investigate.
I suspect that the charges against me will soon be dropped.
