Hi,
I have a nice Garmin handheld GPS unit. It normally works great. I took a series of readings and they misalign the features I am looking for by ten feet. I have everything going in and out on WGS 84. Does anyone have any ideas? This has not happened before. I normally get sub-meter accuracy.
Thanks

Re: Garmin GPS Question
I did not check as to how many satellites I had connected to. That could be the problem (of course).

Re: Garmin GPS Question
I have had a series of Garmin devices, all automotive models.
Generally good quality, decent maps... kinda
maybe I will get myself an early birthday present LoL.
Which handheld do you have?
Would you recommend the same model or a different one?

Re: Garmin GPS Question
I know you have the inputs/outputs as WGS, but is there an internal issue with US Survey vs International foot? When I see a 10-15 foot issue with GPS about 90% of the time its that issue.
IIRC isn't that why the US gov is switching to the international foot? Too many issues with the US coordinates since all units come stock with International Foot in the deep guts of it?
