Bay area - San mateo county Ed Smith woking for others

Post by wingding »

Does anyone have any info on Ed Smith RE 5476 working for
Armitage CE 1794
or
Yost LS 2542
or
Van Loben Sels RE 7179
or ?
and setting his own tags RE 5476 on their maps ?

I 've found some 60 year old points but the tags are different than the recorded maps

Thank you

I'll be out of the office until the 23rd, but if you email me the location you're working in, I may be able to help you find something.

I have Smith's records. Smith seems to basically be their surveyor, but they are not in a partnership from what I can tell.

In general you find Smith's tags when it comes to their maps. In fact I'm not sure I've ever seen their tags when retracing their maps.

You'll find Smith tags all over the County.
