We have to look for CL ties and mons for PCH in Lomita. Anyone know if there is a way to do this without driving to downtown Los Angeles? Can we get copies of the docs we find right then or will we have to go back to pick them up?
It appears some sort of construction took out all the CL mons in this area.
Thanks

I wondered whether or not Caltrans Earth might be of use in your search, but when I loaded the page I saw the message that it's been offline since March. It was nice while it lasted.

Yes, unfortunately Caltrans Earth has died. But they do have other resources>>> http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/tsip/gis/caltr ... erview.phpJim Frame wrote:I wondered whether or not Caltrans Earth might be of use in your search, but when I loaded the page I saw the message that it's been offline since March. Why don't you call the District 7 office and ask them?

Re: CalTrans Research
Called today and got to talk to someone. Said they are filing corner records with the County but older ties and other maps/notes means a trip to LA and bring a thumb drive to load files. That will eat up a full day.
Said they plan on doing some work in that area but didn't say when.

Who did you talk to? Did you try to go through the public information office? District 12 is very responsive via email requests.
