So a So Cal city required a parcel map to do a lot line obliteration, could not do a simple LLO. The map, signed and notarized by everyone and in the cities care waiting for city council approval has disappeared - like gone forever.
I'm sure they will offer to reimburse everyone for the time and expense to create and new map and send it back thru the whole process again. ROTFLMAO.

This has happened to me before, big problem when all those signatures need to
be done AGAIN!

Glad to hear we are back to bellyaching about the local, state and federal controlling authorities.
Here is one; I got an email from DIR to watch this webinar on submitting my prevailing wage
info in a format that the DIR can read. I attend the webinar and it is a private company who
wants to charge me to submit my reports, I was kinda disgruntled.

Now I do my prevailing age stuff in quadruplicate, one for the Controlling authority, one for the contractor
and one for my files and enter one on-line. You need each time having to enter my employees address and social
each and every time, over and over again.

That is all rules the unions have got the govt to enact. Because of the new rule you have to sign up and pay an annual fee just to bid prevailing wage jobs we don't do it anymore. The problem with that is the taxpayers end up paying 50% or more for the same work to be done and a lot of that cost is the paperwork involved.

That one still rubs me the wrong way. If DIR believes that qualification beyond licensure is truly necessary (and legal) in order to protect the public, then they ought to convince the legislature to fund it. Having to pay $300 a year just for the privilege of proposing -- and having to remember to pay it on time every year or face a $2,000 "surcharge" -- seems wrong to me.

It's very wrong, more so because you have to pay a fee to gamble that you "might" get a PV job.

That's what you get from a Union owned democrat government.
