Members Only Forum
Is the Members Only Forum real or a myth?. I've followed the instructions and submitted two requests for a password. So far no response from central office. Has anyone else been successful?

Re: Members Only Forum
The fact that there's a members-only forum is more of an annoyance than anything, but the notion that some members might be more worthy than others is very disturbing.
I did receive login credentials in response to my request. It only took a couple of days.

If you check in you will see that I am the only person who has been banished for my posts. I have been told by numerous people that the former Executive Director complained about the topics I attempted to discuss and was "punished" accordingly. More and more it is like being in junior high school.

Re: Members Only Forum
I too have requested access, it has not been granted. Why not,I am a dues paying member? I have yet to be offensive. I actually first requested access to "our" CLSA website on May 7, 2015, realized I had to pay dues...did that. I thought I would receive an email with some access information, it did not come...I waited and waited. Last Sunday I followed the instructions again...signing up then followed by the required email by Thursday I was not happy and made another. Michael Cochran responded promptly and I was granted access to the website. I could finally post, view articles, make comments...participate! The first thing I did was attempt to access the members only area because I wanted to catch up on some of the threads that (against my desires) were moved to the restricted area. Of course I realized immediately that I could not. So I made the required email request and... Have heard nothing. No response. It seems unreasonable, to me, that we members should have to wait more than a day or two for a response of some type.
Personally, I really enjoy the things Michael Pallamary says/writes, I don't always agree and his tenacity is both admirable and sometimes a little irritating but....to ban him from our forums for ruffling feathers is nothing short of ludicrous and someone should respond to us and explain why any of us might be banned from accessing any portion of this website that we pay for!
I am still waiting...

Re: Members Only Forum
Hello everyone,
Our apologies for not responding promptly to your requests. We've recently initiated additional login restrictions that have resulted in much less spam making it onto the message boards. Regrettably, the additional steps may make it account validation slower. We will review all password requests and send credentials right away.
Regarding posts moved to the members-only portion of the forum, please refer to the forum FAQ for message board rules approved by the CLSA Board of Directors in 2014.
Thank you for your patience and Happy Holidays to all!
