Survey Equipment for 2 Survey Crews

Post by PE_PLS »

As stated in the general discussion forum, due to the death of Roger Poynts of UDI Tetrad I am liquidating enough survey equipment for 2 survey crews. If possible, I would like to sell the equipment in one large lot, or separate it into 2 lots for a single crew each. The attached document shows all of the equipment available. The attached document shows the new replacement cost for all of the equipment. A target sale price for the equipment would be 20-25% of new replacement cost. You would need to pick up the equipment in Moraga, CA or Walnut Creek, CA. Please let me know if you have any questions. Feel free to call to discuss. 925-787-0463 email: dmgengineering@sbcglobal.net

Butting in here just because: I think trying to sell the whole package as a single lot is a good first effort, but you have to find just the right buyer to pull it off.

As a practical matter, what you have is 2 instruments, 2 data collectors, 4 radios, and a bunch of junk not worth the cost of selling. (The Topcon tribrachs might be worth selling if they're in good shape, but I wouldn't bother with the CSTs.)

I'd sell the handful of valuable items on ebay, donate anything else the local schools might want, and junk the rest. You could offer to throw in a set of legs for the gun buyers if they'd pick up the additional shipping.

Good luck, in any case!
