Just received a deed chain on a property I'm working on and the names on a few of the deeds looked familiar...

When I searched for him on Wikipedia it shows him being married to his first wife, Virginia, from 1944 to 1960, which is the year of that quitclaim deed from Virginia to her ex as part of the divorce agreement.

Yes. Somewhere along the line though the description changed to the North 330 of the SW 1/4 and that was the point in time I was looking for with this chain.

I only attached the deeds that indicated the late Yul Brynner (Oscar winning actor) as an owner that appeared in the deed chain. I didn't really mean this to be a surveying post, but to show the connection of the property to Mr. Brynner at a previous point in time.

The Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, The King and I (brought to film in 1956 by 20th Century Fox) is one of my favorites.

I like musicals, can't help myself :-)

My daughter sang in the chorus of the Verdi opera Otello in Palo Alto so we went. I've never been to an opera production before; I highly recommend it, very entertaining. Big on melodrama.

My daughter does a nearly perfect Heston "If you were not a bride, I would kiss you goodnight" but that is from Ben Hur which did not have Brynner in it.

It is the Magnificent Seven for me, followed by Westworld.

My current chain goes back to Mariano G. Vallejo, recipient of the Rancho Petaluma land grant back in about 1833, and first U.S. Senator from California. Boring.

Is he related to Salvador Vallejo?

See Sneed v. Osborne, 25 Cal. 619 (1864).

Beginning of the Opinion:
On the 19th of March, 1847, Salvador Vallejo conveyed to L. W. Boggs one square mile of land in Napa Valley, bounded as follows: "Beginning at a point near the base of the mountain on the west side of Napa Valley, one half a mile in a southerly direction from where a small branch or brook enters the valley from the mountains, usually known as the Old Rhodare; thence running from the said point of beginning along a line parallel with the base of the mountains, in a northerly direction one mile; thence forming a right angle and running in an easterly direction one mile; thence making a right angle and running in a southerly direction one mile; thence making a right angle and running in a westerly direction one mile to the point of beginning."

Nothing could go wrong there, right?
