I have had that problem in the past. It was fixed by a simple google earth reset. I forgot how to do it, but you can google it

Maybe try "view", "reset", "tilt and compass" and see what happens. I fight with GE on a daily basis. It owns me!

It's possible the placemark is set to "no icon". Right click one of the individual jobs placemark in the "Places" toolbar (the sidebar where you see the kmz file loading) and select properties. In the "Edit Placemark" dialog box that comes up, there should be a clickable box to the right of the Name field, where you can select an icon or select "no icon".

The directional guides can be toggled on and off from the "View" pulldown.

View >>> Show Navigation >>> Always

Hope that helps. If not, I would suggest checking to see you're running the most current version of G.E.

New Computers

Google Earth has a help section that takes you through how to transfer your old "my places" file. Don't you love new computers! Took me 3 days to set up mine.
