Caltrans GPS Equipment stolen 2/21/13

Yesterday Caltrans CVSRN station MULN was vandalized. The thieves stole almost everything including the following:

Airlink Raven X Modem S/N 0813327035
Trimble NetR5 GPS Receiver S/N 4624K01595

Station MULN is located:
Fresno County SR 145 PM 22.7

I've always wondered why the PBO stations along the freeways weren't systematically hit. By now, though, it's much less of an issue: the value of the NetRS units has fallen so much that they're not really a big score anymore, and not many people are interested in choke rings.
