Our friends in Sac slipped in another $1 for them to spend.
According to the local paper SB 1186 now requires the State to get $1 for every new and renewed business license in CA. How many millions more is that for them to squander.
Like druggies, always wanting more.

Defund govt
To fully fund govt first the national debt would have to be paid. The US Govt is $18 TRILLION in debt, using 350 million people in the USA it would require $51,000 from every man, woman and child to pay it off. And that's just the Federal debt. Did you write your check yet?

I would expect such a response from the govt side.
It's not just THAT dollar, it's that dollar and all the others. Maybe you didn't notice the sales tax increase that all was supposed to go to schools but now most is being diverted.
Who elects those addicts

My current opinion, while spending over 1/2 of my life having been born/raised in CA, has migrated to my determination that I could literally no longer afford the luxury of being financially "taken to the cleaners" from taxation. But I can see California from here!
There are many examples local, state and federal "legistlative budgetary business models" (aka tax and spend ... or is that spend THEN tax?) that are pretty much simultaneously laughable and depressing.
And for the record, my survey career has spanned 30 years: 18 private, 12 Fed Gov (DoD & Forest Service), so I have been on both sides of the fence, so to speak. I have seen much waste in both sectors.
My personal stance on government fiscal responsibility stems from my private sector experience and personal ethics model: being entrusted with other's money unequivocally requires that I provide quality service, while maximizing production and eliminating waste.
