iRover and the NALS Conference

Post by Labedzki »

Has anyone attending the NALS Conference in Reno have any info on the Leica iRover system for $5000?!?

Sounds too good to be true.

Pretty sure that is just the down payment and you get multiyear financing. I would be thrilled to be wrong though

Still a deal

For $5000 and then agreeing to pay $2500 for SmartNet in each of the next two years, you get the GS12 system that they have been selling for $15,000.

A pretty good deal considering the GNSS upgrade for my GRX1230's cost $6950. Getting a complete new system seems like a better deal to me.

Definitely intriguing. I just wish the network could cover up in the coastal range - the few places here in the Bay Area we deal with larger, sectionalized lands. I doubt it does. Still, quite a nice product.

Some ne from Leica was given the mic at the conference and allowed to announce to everyone the deal described by Steve Martin. I image it got them a lot of foot traffic at their booth at the conference.

mmm, new software, no network in my area, sounds like a great deal if I was in the right area.
