PLSS Working Group for CCVGPG

I'm putting together a working group for some tasks related to improving GIS data of the PLSS in the California Central Valley. You can learn more about the working group here:

I hope to schedule the first meeting for the working group after March 16. I'd love to get some participation from land surveyors with a knowledge of the PLSS and an interest in GIS.

My goal for the working group is to incrementally improve the GCDB data, primarily by using data from local surveying records, current aerial photography, and when possible, field inspections.

We'll maintain as much of the existing GCDB data set (attribute schema, naming conventions, etc) as practical.
