NGS published elevations
Recently I measured to a BM that was an HP GN station, however the published elevation was only to nearest foot. Is there a way to obtain a more accurate elevation. It was a Cal Trans disk.

Without a specific station ID it's hard to tell if there's better elevation data out there. In 2004 Caltrans observed a bunch (about 700) stations to height mod specs, and ran a bunch of geodetic levels to supplement the network, but hasn't been able to come up with the money to have an orthometric height adjustment performed. Some of those stations were subsequently included in the 2008 DWR project -- which covers most of the Sacramento Valley -- but those have been published, so I'm assuming that your station isn't one of them.

Ryan,
I put in a call into the district office today and left a message. Hopefully, I'll get some more info. Thanks.
Jim,
I think the point I found has a station ID. I'll have to check when I go into the office. Thanks.
