I just had to replace my cell phone and got an htc Droid eris.

The phone is amazing.

Question, though.

Does anyone know of an app to use the phone as a handheld hps unit with lat/lon input?

How about a COGO app?

what kind of operating system do you have on that type of phone.....?
I have an old smart phone, but what I love about it is that it is a windows device, so I can load up lots of goodies..... that being whatever will work with windows.....

I have a Blackberry "Curve" but the phone is rectangular and flat. ( go figure)

The location applications are wonderful but on the curve they require a lot of battery power.

i hope your Droid is more energy efficient.

I did some research and I see that your phone uses the cupcake operating system, this is based upon a linux kernel......... oh well....
