Putting GLO township plats and other maps online.

I've been doing some work on my personal website over the last couple of weeks. I don't think there is a place to get GLO township plats for California online, so I started one. I put up some PDF files of townships in San Joaquin California that I already had.

If you have PDF or image files of township plats in you part of California, and would like to help me expand my online collection, please send me an e-mail. (sunburned.surveyor at gmail.com) I'm hoping we can get a good collection of the township plats online for everyone to use. (If you don't have a digital copy of the plat, you can send me a hard copy through the snail mail, and I will scan it. After scanning I will put the digital copy online.)

I've also added a list of links for other locations where surveyors can access survey maps online, organized by County. I started with two (2) of my closest counties. If you would like, you can send me your links for this list as well.

P.S. - If there is already a place to download all PLSS township plats online, please let me know, and I will link to this external site instead of duplicating storage of the plats.

there is quite a bit of info online. The BLM does not post online info of what is in private hands(already gone to patent). The BLM does have quite a bit of stuff where the land is still federal interest lands. Take a close look at their site.

Canterberry007: I added the link for Kern County GLO township plats to my site.

DMI: I did some searching, but did not find the original GLO township plats for California online. I remember asking the BLM guys in Sacramento about this a few months ago, and I don't think you can download them. My search did result in the discovery of a link that allows you to download "master title township plats", which I put on my web page.

records available for PUBLIC LANDS-not lands surveyed under the public land system that are now private Other states have plats because of the high percentage of lands stll owned by the government. San Joaquin does not have this available, I did this same type of inquiry about 9-10 years ago......

I also rearranged the Counties in alphabetical order.
