Credit Where Credit is Due…

While here at CardnoWRG, I performed a Lot Line Adjustment for a client in San Mateo.

The boundary for this project was not an easy one and there were a number of historical “hiccups” that presented interesting problems.

Chip Short and Martin Quan, of the City of San Mateo, were incredibly cooperative and helpful in not only getting this project done, but in getting it done in record time, too.

Once the project was completed and the LLA recorded, we set monuments memorializing the positions of the new lines. The ROS was first sent to the County of San Mateo on the 11th of March. After being reviewed by none other than our own Keith Nofield, it was returned for some minor rewording of some of the statements (which actually improved the quality of those statements immensely) in well under two weeks. The second submittal was quickly reviewed and Keith’s assistant called me to request mylars. Keith left a message for me yesterday afternoon that he had the mylars and the ROS would be signed and recorded post haste.

Imagine. A rather complex ROS reviewed, returned, revised, and ready for recording in under a month!

Now that’s service! And, in my opinion, value!

Oh – Keith – I sent TWO copies of the mylars out of habit. Many jurisdictions want two – one for the County Surveyor’s Office and one for the Recorder’s files. I should have realized that San Mateo County was efficient enough to only need one. Next, you guys are just going to be asking for PDF files and scans.

Y’all can do with the extra as you desire. It might make a nice Challah cover! Or a piece of artwork for your office.

You received no special treatment from myself or the staff at the county. In fact your submittal was deep in a pile, amungst many other submittals, the day prior to the fee increase, sorry it took as long as it did, lol.
