I usually send my clients a one page proposal/contract which complies with all the contract requirements in Section 8759 of LSA.
I faxed my proposal/contract to the client and asked him to sign it, instead I
have received an "Offsite Services Agreement" from him. I have barely been in this situation and wanted to hear your thoughts.
Thanks

From a business perspective, seek the advice of your attorney on the client-supplied agreement. From the PLSA perspective, it must meet all the requirements per 8759.
From a personal business owner point of view, I would attempt to convince the client that your contract has been proven to meet legal requirements and using the other would introduce additional overhead costs into the project budget that would not be productive.

indeminty clauses
The Focal Point (Sacramento Chapter newsletter) has a letter in it regarding a recent California Supreme Court ruling with respect to broadness of indeminty clauses. Watch out for what is in the contracts of others that you agree to because you could wind up having to pay their attorneys fees even if you are not at fault.
