Please see the attached poll. Do you support CLSA preparing a video regarding the surveyor's Right of Entry, to be shared with law enforcement officials?

So there are more non-surveyors viewing this thread than surveyors, really?
I guess those not voting are government employees, and don't see the benefit of this one.

Who makes the video, who pays, and how much?

Even we dreaded government employees would benefit from a video like this. We don't have any special entry rights that private surveyors don't, and in many cases are even more likely to be told we're not allowed to enter because we're with the "gummint".

The only question is whether or not CLSA would support the video. There are no questions pending as to who will pay for it. Peter, are you willing to make a donation if that question came up?

There is obviously good support. If CLSA does not have an interest, would there be any objections if a private company prepared a video? Would it be okay if CLSA used it? it would be preferable to have CLSA's name on it. That is the principle basis for the question.

A private company could prepare it and stick their company name on it and everyone would be happy I would assume.

There is only one question. CLSA must decide if they want to get involved. If you support the notion than vote in support of the question.

Weinstein and Tarantino might be available. I got five on that video, the budget should not exceed $2 or 3 million

I would be amazed if CLSA did not feel this would be a benefit to all. They use to have a Public Relations Committee, but I do not know if that committee is still around. CLSA spent a lot of money for an advertisement with an airline for public relations, and what did we get from that? At least a video would be something the paid members could justify their dues going for, to assist the members. I hope CLSA and the Directors value our opinion and this pole, and take action.

I offered to assist in public relations half a dozen times over as many years. Each time I was told we have a public relations committee. I asked if they did anything and was told "we have a committee." I suggested such things as periodic press releases - especially when new officers are installed, dealing with right of entry, etc., Every time I was told CLSA has a committee for that. I offered to help and chair it but was told, CLSA has a committee for that.

I am assuming this topic will be referred to the PR committee.
