Hello,
Does anyone know if recorded maps are available to download from the county website? Looking for Parcel maps, Tract maps, Corner records, Benchmarks,....
Project is within the City of Eureka. Does the city keep any records? Any help or Contact info. for the city or county is appreciated.

Thank you

If you know the document book and page numbers you can get most of them from hummaps.com. To search hummaps.com you enter 3 digit book-map type-3 digit page all as one string- 072RS133 will get you Book 72 of Surveys Page 133. PM for Parcel Map RM for maps UR for unfiled maps CR for corner records

The searchable index is an Access database which is now free to the public (Access will cost you $30) though I don't know that it is available for public download. Search capabilities are dynamic (STR, surveyor name, date, client name or combination)

City of Eureka has a monument map with elevations but it is scanned into the county archive. I don't believe they keep any other maps on file

The County Surveyor Index in Access Database form can be obtained by bringing a portable drive (not a USB stick) with at least 100gb of free space to the County Surveyor's Office. It will be downloaded and available for pick up usually within 2 to 3 business days. Updates are emailed to those in possession of the index as they become available. Usually 3 to 4 times a year. The next update will be in October 2017. There is no charge for this service. A run-time version of Access is required.

The online version, hummpas.com, has search capabilities such as search by Township and Section. Click on "about" on the menu bar in the home page and read the instructions for the correct syntax.

If you need additional information please contact me via email rgarton@co.humboldt.ca.us. You can also reach my office by phone at (707) 445-7205. Either myself or one of my staff can assist you. You can also make an appointment to do research in the County Surveyor's Library to search records not in the electronic index.

Do not PM me @surveyoron...EVER! This is a personal account and is not work related in any way.
