PLS Stamp Troubles

We recently had our "go-to" stamp company go out of business, and have been having a hard time getting a new license stamp that makes us happy (we have tried a number of places and just don't feel good about the way the stamp comes out).

The current stamp we are using is our old one, that we had "X-XX-2014" cut off with an xacto blade and a "X-XX-2016" put in its place... which isn't a scenario we would like to repeat

Anyone know a good company that will be familiar with PLS stamps and can get us a nice fresh one?

For starters you can eliminate that expiration date.

As much as I would like to help, it's been 43 years since I had to get a new one.

I'm assuming that the dates are the expiration dates of your license. If that's the case, the stamp hasn't needed the expiration date for a good few years, now. Refer to Board Rules §411(b) for the requirements.

For the record, I cut the date off mine when that requirement was relaxed. However, I use an electronic version of the stamp and haven't wet stamped more than a handful of documents since the requirement changed.

I didn't even bother to cut the expiration line off of my stamp. It just says Exp. __________. I leave it blank, and haven't had any troubles recording anything.

I would just draw up a CAD file of your stamp and create a block out of it and remove the date info altogether since it isn't required. Print a PDF of the stamp and then save the PDF as an image (JPEG or TIFF) that you can insert into word documents (for legal descriptions).

If you want the regular old rubber stamp, just remove the 2016 date altogether with the exacto again and don't replace it.
