Can anyone tell me more about a map "for conveyance and finance". Apparently they are more common in the south state. How do they differ from a normal tract map, when is it appropriate to use one and what are the ramifications?

Are you referring to Agricultural Leases [SMA §66412 (k)] or inapplicability of SMA to financing or leasing commercial buildings [SMA §66412.1]?

San Joaquin County has a provision for a Homesite Parcel for Financing purposes to allow a parcel to be separated from the Williamson Act portion.

Michael: I don't see anything in any of those references that come close to what's being discussed.
Warren: I see where the homestead parcels can be used for financing, but, other than in case of default, I didn't see a provision for conveyance.
OP: provide further information as to what it is you're referring to, please.

Map No. 15107), a 117-acre site
A map for finance or a financial parcel map in the case of the attached is solely for the purpose of creating a mechanism for hypothecation. They are commonly done in the case of large commercial properties. In San Diego they can be found in Otay Mesa and Mira Mesa. See the attached.
The resolutions I linked to discuss financial maps and provide some background. I hope this helps.
