LA County Lot Tie

Does anyone know how to do a lot tie in the Unincorporated Area of the County of Los Angeles?

Regional Planning says that it is a Recorder's Office process but I can find nothing online and when I went there no one had any idea of what I am talking about.

I'm starting to wonder if the owner can just record a "Covenant and Agreement to Hold as One Parcel" and be done with it.

Thoughts?

ok I am curious, what are you talking about? I assume it is a regional thing.

Russ,

It is. The City, and the County of Los Angeles will require the recording of a signed "Covenant and Agreement to Hold as One Parcel" by a landowner when a proposed structure impinges upon an interior lot line - or setback.

It is triggered as a condition of approval for development in lieu of a Lot Merger, but accomplishes the same thing.
