Anyone had their Schonstedt magnetic locator repaired?

I sent mine to Atlas Electronics in Texas with the $175 flat rate as advertised.

Very satisfied with the result.

There was one outfit that advertised in the survey mags, where you sent it in and they diagnosed it and called you with a cost. Usually there was a minimum amount of $125 or $175 for the diagnosis and a fairly minimal repair and tune-up. If the repairs are more extensive, the cost could be more.

Unfortunately I can't remember specifically what the place was called.

I have one that could use some repair too.
