California Surveyors Forums

So with all of the civil unrest that seems to be going on in this forum I thought it would be a good idea to have a place that we can come to to compliment each other on the good work that we do as professionals.

This thread is to be used a place to congratulate our brethren on their accomplishments, well researched posts on this forum and other good deeds that have been observed by others.

Please keep the messages on this thread positive and enjoy! It is always nice to get a pat on the back or a "thatta boy" from a fellow professional on the good jobs that everyone is doing!

So on my way in to work on Tuesday, I observed a surveyor in the City of Orange, no idea who he was but here is what happened:

I was stopped at a light, waiting for my turn to go through the intersection.

An older lady with a walker was crossing the street at a rather slow pace.

She made it about half way before the light changed and became a hazard to on coming traffic.

This surveyor stopped what he was doing, walked through the intersection and controlled traffic while he helped walk her the rest of the way across the street.

Kudos to you sir on a job well done!

You mean fitting your piece in on the same quilt as the others quilters ?
What if the quilt patches dont fit property and take some adjustment ?
And dont get me started on the pin cushions :)

When the monuments are found where I am looking, and even if they are just found whether or not I was looking there, that is feel good stuff for me.

NSPS has awarded the California Surveyor first place in two categories of their “Excellence in Journalismâ€￾ competition. One for “Best Magazineâ€￾ and another for “Best Editorialâ€￾. I suspect that there are a lot of CLSA members and others in the land surveying profession that donate considerable time and resources for causes they deem worthy. I'm involved in a couple of things myself.

Would anybody care to mention volunteer work that they do that is not directly related to CLSA functions? Don't be shy!
