Roy Minnick Collection

Post by Ric7308 »

Message from Linda and Wolf Hein:

Dear Surveyor(s) -- We are writing, because in the past few months you have expressed interest in the collection we acquired from the estate of the late Roy Minnick, Surveyor. Quite a bit of the collection has been sold, be we still have much that is remaining. We would like to offer you a chance to acquire some of the rare books in this collection for 50-percent off. Unfortunately, it is too big of a job to have a list of all of the remaining books, but we are happy to answer questions about the rest of the collection that we have.

You can contact us at: Hein & Company Books & Vintage Goods in Jackson, CA, 209-223-9076. Ask for Wolf or Linda Hein.

Best regards, Linda & Wolf Hein

Note: Several of us drove out to this book store on a Saturday and ended up spending the better part of a day checking out the books with Wolf and Linda. Quite a collection, literally hundreds of surveying-related books, some very difficult to find elsewhere. They also have quite a few from other collections. Wolf and Linda are very nice people.

is it possible someone can take their phone and video capture the books spines that still remain in the collection....? this might help liquidate the collection more rapidly.

Hein and Company is a great used book store; it's one of our favorites.

There is a used bookstore in Placerville that also has someone's collection of Surveying books. Most of them aren't worth much but they do have a copy of Skelton.
