so as the national test approaches day after tomorrow and the state exam on Monday, I have begun to wonder.... with the national test having 100 questions.... are all 100 point valued equally? or are some worth more than others?
same for the state exam.... I dont think there is 100 questions on it though.
I guess I'll find out soon.... but was sitting here on a study break and was wondering.

NCEES=100 questions that are all equal
Prometric=unknown amount of questions, but all have the same weight
But on neither one do we get to know the cut score! Just a cheesey diagnostics that is very vague. My biggest issue is not being able to review the results and identify exactly what questions that you missed. IMO.
Good Luck Friday & Monday! By now we know it or we don't!

I hear ya on the either we know it or we dont by now. lol.... but I know its not gonna hurt to keep reviewing and practicing my weak areas.
and knowing they are equal weight helps.
I am imagining they may have multiple questions based off one example and answers may be based off the previous question. but im guessing the complete vertical curve clearing an object info of length, bc/ec station/elevation and what ever else wont be 1 question. making it the same weight as a what does xxx represent question.
but, I'll find out in 23 hours lol

a vertical curve question on a Professional Exam? That is both silly and sad.
don't stress out, and Good Luck!

shaun,
When I took the national a couple of years ago, there were 100 questions, 60 in the morning and 40 in the afternoon. And the state test had 65 questions last year (just under 4 minutes per question), not sure if that would change year to year though, but that should give you a rough estimate.

hey Dave... yeah, that sounds right for the number of questions from what I do remember.
I know I'm probably over thinking things.

Agreed, but the days of real evaluations are gone.
