the land owner feels when he gets two prices for a lot survey , one for $1250 and the other for $4200. apples vs oranges?????

I have always felt Trimble over-priced their product.

I always felt the opposite to Bryan Taylor with respect to product price. The support costs are very hefty for the green box...

But yes Leica aint cheap - it seemed like Trimble has always been more expensive.

Not only is this stuff extremely expensive, 10 years down the road it's "No longer supported". A $20k instrument over that ten years is $2k/year or a $1 for every possible working hour whether you use it or not.
