Hi there.

I'm preparing my paperwork to take the test next year (yeah, the recently passing deadline of 5/1/12 got my tail in gear) and I have a question.

In my past years, i worked for a company for 5 years. during that time, we had one main PLS in our company and then other PLS's that i worked under while they worked there and i worked under the main when no other PLS was there as i took over some of the local office responsibility.

my question is, for my engagement record, do i have to fill out and have our main PLS sign multiple forms for each time i started working under his indirect supervision?

ie, year 1 i worked directly under PLS A
year 2 i worked indirectly under PLS Main
years 3-4 i worked Directly under PLS B
year 5 I worked indirectly under PLS Main

all was with the same company i just had different bosses. So, I believe I would have 4 different engagement records and 3 signatures during that time period, right?


my next question is: does the board look at if the reference was my supervisor or my co-worker differently? do they count my time any differently?

All claimed experience must of been performed under the supervision of a licensee. Typically a coworker reference is looked at by the reviewer as a supporting professional reference that is not signing off on experience credit.

My suggestion is to provide an engagement for each of the licensees that directly supervised your experience covering all pertinent experience under each reference.

Other references from that firm can serve as supporting professional references stating that they are coworkers, familiar with your experience and timeframe stated, but would not be signing for actual experience credit.

ah, so, if i have enough time, between college credit and work time, the co-worker PLS would just be giving me 1 of the 4 required signatures and not count towards my experience credits.
