Hello All, I'm new to this forum, hoping for some help as I am taking the LS ( State Specific Test) on Monday the 23rd, I've down loaded Tom Burns PLS and Vance Ricks PLS State Plane Program for the 48GX and the newer version posted on 3-08-2011 by "VANCE"
I never could get the 48 to connect with the "hp conn4x",so I bought a 50g version 2.15 and an SD card. I have finally gotten 50g to talk to the computer, but when I try to drag and drop the "SPC.hp" file into the "conn4x" space the computer throws me error code something like "Win5 Error" I think, I'll check.
At this point I want see if I'm posting on the right forum and if anyone has a thought on this, as I see "VANCE" didn't get many replies to his Questions about usage. Thanks, Bill

Howdy, Seems "nimrod" here did not completely extract the files needed and double click on it to remove the folder before Drag and drop, apparently I got so engrossed in all of the failures I forgot some basics. Anyway, Thanks Bill

Hi Vance, I did take the LS exam this morning, in Medford,OR. of all places, it is close to Weed,CA. CBT was new, multiple choice, no questions that I needed the main program for, but I did use the SAS utility for a couple. I think the program is great. I only had couple of days to toy with it though. The test wasn't as mind bending as ones in the past I felt pretty good about it, we'll see.
