It is that time of year again! The Mt. Diablo Surveyors Historical Society is sponsoring our 11th metal locator raffle. This year we are offering a raffle for one Schonstedt, model# GA52Cx Locator (Serial # 282326) valued by the manufacturer at $917-.

The Winner will be determined by a random drawing held on March 27, 2012 at the conclusion of Exhibitor's Display Booths at the 2012 California Land Surveyors Association - Nevada Association of Land Surveyors joint Conference at the Silver Legacy Casino/Ressort in Reno, Nevada. Winner need not be present to win.

Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20 and may be purchased from any MDSHS member or by mail. If you are interested in supporting our organization and feel lucky, checks should be made payable to "Mount Diablo Surveyors Historical Society" or "M.D.S.H.S" (Sorry, we cannot accept credit cards at this time.), or well-hidden cash (however MDSHS cannot be responsible for lost cash)

Mail orders using the attached order form with your name, street address, email address and phone number should be sent to:

Mailed entrees must be received by 5:00 pm, Thursday, March 22, 2012. A receipt for tax purposes will also be provided if requested. Ticket stubs will be returned via U.S. Mail.
In person ticket sales will be offered right up to the actual drawing.

Proceeds of the raffle will be used in support of the goals of the Mount Diablo Surveyors Historical Society to: "Collect, Preserve, and Display Artifacts of the Land Surveying Profession"

The Mount Diablo Surveyors Historical Society is a nonprofit public benefit tax-exempt corporation registered with the California Secretary of State's office (California corporation number C1835904) and is organized under IRS 501 (c) (3), (Federal # 8916806802, IRS EIN #77-0266641). Any donations of monies, grants, or artifacts are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.

Just a clarification question. It says we have to have mailed entries by March 22. Can we buy tickets at the conference up to March 27th?

Ryan, please re-read and you will see "In person ticket sales will be offered right up to the actual drawing".

In other words yes we will be selling tickets right up to the drawing. I'll personally see to it that you purchase your tickets with time to spare Ryan, heheheeee.

I'm waiting verification from the treasurer before I fill out your tickets. I will let you know when done and your stubs mailed. As you said, I'll see you in Reno and hopefully sell you additional tickets to help better your odds, heheheee.

I have never ever done any side work , so I don't have any of my own tags. I am sure you do not need any more CALTRANS tags.
