Are you looking for a smoother route from TGO to TBC? We will be presenting a 3 day TGO/TBC transition class in Lake Forest, CA designed specifically for Trimble users to make the switch as profitably as possible. Description: Trimble Business Center will be covered in detail and attendees are encouraged to bring their questions for the instructor to examine and share with the class. The session will explore the use of different GPS Survey methods including Post-Processing and RTK along with RTK/Infill as well the use of CORS stations and the OPUS system. There will be detailed discussion of Project Templates, File Management, Survey Controller/Access operations/DC editing, Coordinate Systems (Grid/Ground), Site Calibrations, and Feature Coding along with many other advanced issues. Laptop computers are welcome. Training materials and lunch will be provided.

Registration fee: $895 per person.

Sounds like a very useful class. Have to admit, the first time I saw TBC back in it's infancy, I was completely overwhelmed. Looks nothing at all like TGO, so it was like a total retraining process. Was lucky to get good training from Trimble and also used the tutorials, which are very good.

I had TBC for quite some time before I started using it.

Without the "push" that recent TGO users got, I found it sufficiently foreign that it was always easier to just do it in TGO.

I took Mike's class and it really helped me understand where all the same things were in TBC that I was using in TGO -and- what had changed. I also learned very interesting ideas on control surveys and working with RTK data.

I'm hosting this class at my office, because like many detailed training seminars and education opportunities, this economy has certainly affected attendance ... thus the ability for seminars or classes to be cost effective enough to be offered.

There are only a couple seats left (everything is through Mike, so if you are interested e-mail him soon). The mix of those attending includes private and public sector surveyors from LA to SD.

A couple of the folks I know and I are going to collect some local data of all type so we have good practical practice stuff to use as well as what Mike includes in the class.
