PDL vs ADL radios for GPS

Just had a Leica Salesman tell me that I could not replace one of my PDL radio because the government was baning them, I would have to buy all new ADL radios for all units.
Anyone else heard this one?

from what I hear, in 2013 the Government will have the ability to request you change from 25khz to 12.5khz (this does not mean they will, just says they have the right). If you have an old one and once your FCC license expires it can be upgraded. Pac-Crest is making new PDLs that are ready to go now and also ready 2013.
Just another reason to put your running shoes on when Leica comes near....
