I'm working on the speaker schedule for 2012 and 2013 for the Central Valley Chapter of CLSA. We have monthly meetings on the last Wednesday of each month.

I'm looking for volunteers to come and speak at our chapter meetings. The schedule is currently open. Please shoot me an e-mail at sunburned.surveyor@gmail.com if you are willing to be a speaker. Let me know what monthly meeting would work best for you and give me an idea for a topic.

I'm willing to serve as a speaker at other local chapter meetings. Here is a brief list of topics I could present:

* Using Open Source GIS to Maintain Land Survey Records
* Geospatial Professionals of the Future - What Do They Look Like?
* Simple Web Site Design for Land Surveyors - Making the Best Use of the Web for Your Business
* Best Practices for Large Scale Boundary Surveys
* Using Your Scope of Professional Services to Manage Risk
* Improving Drafting Efficiency With AutoLISP
* GIS Basics With OpenJUMP
* The Surveyors Report - Why, When, and How

I'd also be willing to develop a talk based on any of the articles in my boundary surveying column published in American Surveyor Magazine.

Thanks!

Keith Spencer takes care of it for us. It does make a convenient place to go for chapter business.
