Extended Map Check Turnaround Time

It's going on 4 months since I turned one in for checking. Anyone else noticing agencies slowing down?
One of our local county officials told me they were at the statutory required time for RS map check turnarounds.
The Riverside County Surveyor mentioned at the last chapter meeting that they had 4 Tract Maps record so far in 2011 and San Bernardino County surveyor said they have had 2 record so far in 2011.
