Got my letter yesterday, I passed! One of the most exciting days of my life. Thanks to all the great instructors at Sac City, I really think the program helped. Also thanks to the Sac Chapter for the LS review course, I know it helped. I want to give a special thanks to Joe Porter and Jim Koepke at State Lands for letting me pester them with study questions.

I looked on the Board's website but couldn't find a list of the new licensees. Is there a list out there?

I was just looking, myself. The highest number on the Board's site is 8817. The Board was down all of yesterday for "maintenance". I assumed that it was to update the new lists. Apparently not.

I think the results were mailed Friday and they usually allow for the candidates to receive the letters before updating. I would expect sometime today or tomorrow the new LS's will be up on the website.

Well, I have not found my number yet. Any word from the Board on the release of the new numbers? I heard some news about the exam statistics. 22% pass rate, and word on the numbers, ie. cut score, total examines, etc.?!?

Congrats to the new LS's. Down here in So Cal they haven't received it yet. I expect when mail starts being opened today the news will trickle out.

Haven't gotten a letter or anything... the waiting is killing me. I was hoping the Board's website would have been updated by now...

Spoke with one of the lucky ones who received his letter on Sat. Instructions stated his license # and certificate would be to follow in 4-6 weeks.

not so lucky here, just missed. Maybe next year...

Sorry to hear that, they raised the cut score to 220 and the pass rate fell to 21.56%, a tough year to take it. I have not heard my result yet.

I missed by 23 points, should I appeal?

absolutely. You never know what could happen after reviewing the test.

During your appeal you will be able to see exactly what you received points for. This will allow you to dial-in what to study for next time around. At the very least, you will get much more infomation than the analysis received with your results.

I got my letter on Saturday and I passed. This is very exciting for me and my family. I couldn’t have done it without their help and patients, two to three hours a day studying for three month finally paid off.

I would like to thank Russ (RAM) for his encouragement and many years of picking his brain.

Rob LS for the putting on the appeals class which I took last year. Even though my appeal was unsuccessful it helped me look at the test from a different point of view.

I would also like to thank Tony Cuomo (Pacific Land Seminars) for putting on his study class. I always look forward to Tony's classes.

I will now join CLSA and start my continuing education.

I just got my results here in So. Cal.....I passed, YES!! Many thanks to everyone that taught LS review at Riverside county flood control, and special thanks to Tim Smith our local chapter President for taking his own time to sit down and help teach a group of guys. Thanks Tim!! Also thanks to Miguel Villasenor!!

This is almost funny. Last year I took both exams, felt good about National and passed, felt not so good about State and missed by 28 pts. Not surprised. This year studied well and for State only, felt pretty darn good about it too, high point problems were right up my alley.... I failed miserably! I mean really bad, did I "blunder"? What the heck? Did the grader make a massive error (ya right) I am dumbfounded (or maybe just dumb) I may appeal just to see what the heck happened, I doubt there has ever been a 100+ point appeal won.
I was under the impression that even if an error occurs early on in an answer but the methodology is correct points are awarded for the remainder of the answer. I assuming here for the sake of arguement that that may be the case, but it seems more likely I just messed up.
Anyway, congrats to those who passed, I will live to test another day, I hope.

I received the extra thick envelope.That would be the one with the green exam review/appeal candidate information. Scored 213 out of 220.

I'm hoping there will be another LS Appeal and Exam Strategy seminar in the Sacramento area before the Appeal date of 8/11/11.

Anyone have any info on that? Any other appellants?

Hi,

You definitely should appeal. There is a thread on here that is a couple of years old that talks about the appeal process. You might search for that in case there is no seminar this year. Good luck.

One of our Engineers, Tony Ballestero, passed this year. Tony credits the Sacramento Chapter LS review classes that he attended the past couple of years as a big part of his success.
