Hello, I am being invited to take the CalTrans "TRANSPORTATION SURVEYOR" test. Has anyone out there taken it? If so, and study suggestions, and/or what might be on it?
Thank you very much

Took it 2 years ago, pretty basic stuff. If you are studying for LSIT or LS you will be fine. To be honest I don't remember specifics and I have been doing this a long time so it was pretty familiar. Best of luck.

I took it (and passed) last year. Likewise, I don't remember anything specific except for some questions that revolved around your being able to do some basic calcs. Really, it's so general that it's not something you can specifically study for.

Lee is correct, it's really easy. Maybe too easy but just review the basics and you'll nail it!

Anyone know the basics of the T.E.T. test. I'm scheduled to take it in August. I did well on the Transportation Surveyor Exam, should I be worried.

As with any government exam, read the bulletin that describes the exam. I believe an HP33s calculator is provided for the TS exam, so you should be able to any surveying calculations (un-programmed) with the 33s. Read the questions, follow the instructiuons, manage your time. Once you have taken the exam, do not discuss the exam content with anyone. I thinkn there are confidentiality agreements as there are with the FS, PS, and CA PLS. Good luck!
