I'm trying to track down some old maps in the Sunol area near Fremont. I have a record of survey that refers to Ex-Mission San Jose Survey numbers 36, 37 and 38. I am especially interested in Survey No. 37. Can anyone shed some light on this? I've already talked to BLM, State Lands Commission and the Alameda County Surveyor and have not had much luck.

The plat I mentioned in my previous post would be very useful to me to locate an old Hetch Hetchy easement (1929). I'm thinking I may have to go another route on this. I may have to contact the agency who prepared the easement. Who maintains the Hetch Hetchy right of ways (San Francisco Water Dept? Public Utilities Commission?) Can anyone give me a contact to track down easement mappings and plats? Thanks.

Sounds like you need to make a trip to Alameda County Map Room.
They may have some mapping to assist in your research.
