$30/hr for a HS grad with a couple years exp.
Govt work sure does pay well now.

But I have lived in Castro Valley. Nothing cheap about that.
It's still a lot of money for a HS grad +2. What's union scale for a 2yr app.
Most, if not all, of CA RE has taken a 30+% hit.

Tops out about $1400 more a month than Caltrans. Cost of living in that area will eat most of that up. But not bad for a tech position in general.
