Mini real time GPS tracking device for stolen equipment?

With all the equipments getting stolen more often these days, has anyone used a mini real time GPS tracking device like this one? http://www.brickhousesecurity.com/sendu ... pt200.html

This looks like a good idea, but I don't see how you could hide it on a total station. Most RTK units already have communication ability, so giving them "LoJack" capability seems plausible.

Very true on a GPS base station.
I can easily put that inside my battery holder on the robotic instrument (Topcon 9000a) since I use and external batt.

Ah - good idea. My total station also has an empty battery compartment.

About $300 for the first year, be nice if your ins co would cover most of the cost.
