NGS webinars on Vertical/Tidal Datums
Posted: Fri Jan 22, 2010 3:14 pm
I want to bring your attention to an upcoming 2-part webinar focusing on Geodetic Vertical and Tidal Datums.
1. Free (that's the first question people asked me before!)
2. http://www.ngs.noaa.gov/corbin/class_de ... tums.shtml
3. TUESDAY, Feb 9, from 10-1 PACIFIC time, Geodetic Datum focus
4. THURSDAY, Feb 11, from Noon-2 PACIFIC time, focus on West-Coast tides
5. East Coast and Gulf Coast are covered in 2 sessions on Wednesday
All you need is a Java-enabled web browser and a telephone to call in, and to REGISTER by going to the URL given above.
Two new improvements to our Training website:
1. You can merely, from our main page, www.ngs.noaa.gov, add '/training' to the URL to get to the Corbin Training Center webpage.
2. We don't have RSS feeds to inform you of changes to webpages, BUT you can sign up with the Training MAILING LIST to be kept informed of when new classes are offered, and when class materials (ppt, audio transcripts) are posted and available for download. The link to sign up, answering only 3 questions, is in the left column. Then, you don't have to remember to check the calendar or rely on me remembering to post something here.
