Reporting a Geodimeter 610S Robotic Survey Station SN 61230265 was stolen from Pacific National Bank job site @ corner of Mira Vista & Willow Pass Road, Concord on the afternoon of 5-27-09. Contact John Hanser @ 530-889-9149.

If you have a job and feel the equipment will be left in a vulnerable position, maybe you should hire a second man for a survey crew? I hate to say it, but with robotic equipment where is the mentoring of future surveyors? Yes we all want to make more money with smaller crews, but at what expense is this costing our profession?

Sorry to hear about the stolen equipmen, will keep an eye out for it on the peninsula, but my guess is, it is already out of CA. It won't be long until we see a GPS tracer built into high-end equipment.

Or just subscribe to a tracking system for about 150/mo.

From the original post, it sounds like it was stolen from the job site, meaning in the field to me, but if you have more questions give John a call.
