Goodgps,

This is a permanent position. The list created may be used to fill future positions also. EBMUD has excellent benefits including a pension plan.
The Field office is in West Oakland. Our crews work on projects in the service area (much of Alameda and Contra Costa counties), at our water source (Camanche & Pardee reservoirs out in Amador County) and aqueducts.
Some of the crews work a 4 10 hour day and some work a 9hour day, 80hour a pay period schedule

Ronnie,

If you are familiar with Civil Service exams, this is a similar process. After the posting closes October 31st, the personnel department will send the applications that have met the posted criteria to the hiring department for rating. After all the qualified applications are rated, a panel interview board will be set up and the top ranked applicants will be called for interviews. The whole process does take some time, so hang in there,
