Re: Surveyor to Recorder for Record of Survey?

Polls give wrong answers, almost always.
We all remember the polls from this time two years ago, most of us were shocked.
IF This Poll was:
1. I want Direct to Recorder
2. I want the existing County Surveyor review.
then the result could be quite different.
Personally, it took a page or two of comments before I decided to chose #1 (my short version)
Dave and Phil: I agree with most of what you both have to say.
I regret that I was unable to attend the OC meeting with the Az. presenter.
Videos are hard for me, and I have not taken the time to see it YET.

I practiced in Az. for about 14 months, 2007-8. I have "retired" my Az. licence.
Observation:
Direct to Recorder worked very will with few exceptions:
a few maps were overly simple, like tax map...
and a few were poor reproduction (partly illegible).
The vast majority were rather good, "California Quality"
